Interesting use of long scroll for storytelling

The story is told using long scroll to tell the story featuring photos, interviews, and video.

Really nice example of a web animated product explainer, using the technique of exploded view drawing, a graphic invention from the renaissance.


A nearly 600 year old approach is used because it does such a good job of telling a story in a simple way.

Google has just launched a site that explains the life cycle of a search query, from crawling to ranking to combating spam. From a learning design perspective there are interesting things going on; gets straight to the story, self driven learning, links to extend learning, simple visual design, live data included.
